Many of you may have heard the saying that running a marathon isn’t like running a sprint. Well, running an ultra is all about pacing, fueling, and managing your inner voice. It’s a highly strategic race, and that strategy can make the difference between success and not finishing at all.

Last weekend, I ran my first ultramarathon — 50 miles (80 km) with 2,065 meters of elevation gain – in 12 hours and 29 minutes. 🎉

Huge thanks to my amazing husband Adrian, and all my friends who believed I could do this. Yes, I can do hard things!

I truly believe in people’s potential, but sometimes I forget to believe in my own. 🤷🏼‍♀️ As a mindset coach, it’s important that I walk the talk and explore my own limits.

Long-distance events are my way of reminding myself that self-improvement is an ongoing journey – and that our potential is deeply connected to how we think. 💭 There’s no growth in comfort. When you stay in your comfort zone, you’re not just standing still – you’re giving up on yourself and on life. Doing things that push you outside that zone can have a profound impact.

Don’t let anyone hold you back, especially those giving advice on things they’ve never done themselves. 🙌🏻

Honestly, I don’t train for races. I train for life. 💪🏻 Life will always throw you curveballs, but when you work on your psychology, you gain control. Mindset matters – and you can train it just like a muscle.

I had never run more than 42.2 km before this, and the longest run in my training was only 35 km – but I still finished. Why? Because strength and mobility training, yoga, and lots of walking were part of my strategy. But most of all, I succeeded because I’m in control of that little voice in my head.

If you can master your self-talk, you can master any race – and your life.

I’ve come a long way, and so can you. You’re amazing. We all are – with unlimited potential.

Explore your potential. Explore the possibilities.
