How aware are you about the little voice in your head?

If you think right now, “Little voice, little voice, what is she talking about? That’s exactly the voice I am talking about.

Energy flows where attention goes.

It’s human nature to think about what can go wrong. Many people state Murphy’s law: “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.” In reality, according to Richard Dawkins, so-called Murphy’s law is nonsense because things come into our lives because of our own desires. This means, be careful what you wish for. It may just become a reality.

In the manufacturing industry I notice over and over again that the main attention is on problems, issues and what goes wrong in general. People are often criticized to the max and their self-worth and energy is getting lower and lower.

How can we talk about manufacturing excellence if people are just focused to survive the day?

If you focus on numbers, nothing will change in your corporate culture. If you focus on people, you tap into a world of opportunities and possibilities.

Today I would like to give you 3 mental strategies on how to become more aware of how you think and what you’re telling yourself.

Please consider this:

  1. Practise to think about your problems in a positive way – problems are here to help us learn and grow. Instead of complaining or feeling bad about it, see them as an opportunity to become better at what you do.
  2. Build relationships with positive people and stay away from gossip and negativity – many people like to drive the BMW (blaming, moaning and whining); refuse to take part in it. Ask instead, “How can we make things better?”
  3. Look for the lesson to learn when something doesn’t go your way – if you refuse to learn the lesson, you will have the same experience over and over again. Just saying!

By the way, complaining about complaining is also complaining. Find things that bring you joy and then talk about them.

That’s the most effective way to break that problem addiction!
