Manufacture Your Day by TAKING ON THE CHALLENGE
Last week someone said to me, “Karin, when you talk about taking control of your mind it makes a lot of sense but this is hard to do. ”
Please note that the second part of his sentence is justification why he can’t do it.
I smiled and answered, “If it would be easy to do, everyone would do it.”
You are here to read my messages every day – or almost every day and I appreciate it. Here is the thing, if you don’t do anything with the information nothing in your life will change. I mean it. Nothing will change.
Over the years I have worked with many coaching clients and I love the work I do. However, there are 3 kinds of coachees.
1) The “Commitment Junkies”:
They take our calls seriously. They show up, they are on time, have an open mind to try new things and they do the work. Sometimes it is amazing for me to observe but they get results with as little as 3 weeks.
2) The “180 Turn-Arounds”:
These are the ones who really don’t see the value of these calls. They simply show up because their boss told them to work with a coach. At first they think they are on the call because they didn’t do a good enough job and have to be “fixed”. After a few calls, they don’t want to leave. They have discovered their hunger for new tools and techniques to become better at what they do.
3) The “Victims of Circumstance”:
These are the ones who are nice and have a good attitude. Unfortunately they don’t put in the work. They show up week after week and tell me why they couldn’t work on their commitments and then they wonder why life is hard and not fair. Guess what, “how you do anything is the how you do everything.”
Which one are you?
If you want to make life better, you can. Everyone can with the right attitude. I hit rock-bottom and worked my way up. If I could, so can you – with or without a coach.
- Stop driving the BMW (blaming, moaning and whining) and move away from “excucity”.
- If you want to get different results in your life, you have to set actions. Different actions.
- Keep a good attitude and believe in yourself and your abilities.
Stay hungry! There is so much more to come in your life.
You are awesome!
