Manufacture Your Day by SHOWING UP NO MATTER WHAT

The real question is: How do you show up?
If you are a regular reader of my daily messages, you’re interested in your personal self-development, and that already puts you ahead of the crowd. Bravo!
Our work environments in the manufacturing industry are beyond stressful. If you want to gain more control over your personal and professional life, you must become more mindful in your daily interactions with others and in your overall approach to life. You need to develop a positive life strategy.
Everyone faces difficult situations, but how you respond to them determines how well – and how fast – you bounce back.
Sometimes people tell me it’s easy for me to look at the bright side of things because I have…
- my own business
- a lot of luck in my life
- time and money
- confidence
- a husband who supports me
- a natural tendency for optimism
Yeah, right!
I believe in creating your own luck. These people have absolutely no idea what I’ve been through. They convince themselves – with often countless excuses – why this just won’t work for them.
If you’re not true to yourself, your whole life will get consumed by excuses.
Many years ago, I reached a point in my life where I had lost my job, I was single, and I didn’t even know how I’d pay my rent the next month. But when you hit rock bottom, there’s only one way to go… up. That’s what I kept telling myself. It was incredibly difficult to find something good in every day, but I kept looking for it.
Here’s what I told myself: “Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better.” Seriously, this (and running) became my mental fortitude. It helped me get better rather than bitter.
I want you to do the same. Look for the
- good in people
- opportunity in the problem
- possibility in a bad situation.
Look for the “yes” after you get a “no.”
Get up, dress up, and show up as your best possible self. Life will get better. Take it from someone who knows.
Are you ready to walk on sunshine?
