Thanks for always coming back to read my messages. Even if you don’t read them every day, you are interested to learn more and to get a different perspective on things. Bravo! This is what it is all about.

Every day we should strive to get a little bit better in every aspect of our lives, and these messages are a potential opportunity for you.

Why do I say “potential opportunity”?

Well, I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: “Information doesn’t necessarily lead to transformation.

How do you put some of my messages into positive action?

When I facilitate my workshops I usually have 3 groups of people in my class.

  1. The vacationers – They think it is awesome to have a few days “off work”. They don’t make the connection that the workshop may help them in their personal and professional lives.
  2. The learners – These are the people who seize every opportunity to learn and grow.
  3. The prisoners – These employees have been told to be there, but don’t want to be there at all.

Every time I meet a group of people for the first time, I start by asking which of these 3 options applies to them.

First I have to understand who the workshop attendees are. If I have many prisoners and vacationers in my workshop, it helps me to tackle this challenge from the get-go. People are often disgruntled with their overall life experience. However, I know that this has absolutely nothing to do with me.

I am there to help them get out of this mental rut. Before they understand that they learn for their own self-improvement and not just for the company, they cannot discover a new reality.

My message to you today:

It doesn’t matter if you are the CEO, a VP, a Manager, a Supervisor, a Team Leader or a Machine Operator. What would it take to start shifting your focus from “I know” and “I understand” to “I want to know” or “I would like to understand”? Learn to be curious about the people around you and observe the magic unfold.

I guarantee you that this kind of attitude will contribute tremendously to your personal and professional growth. You will start learning from the people around you, and that will help transform your overall outlook on life
