 In Manufacture Your Day

Good morning!

Thanks for always coming back to read my messages – even if you don’t read them every day, you are interested to learn more and to get a different perspective on things. Bravo! This is what it is all about.

Every day we should strive to get a little bit better in every aspect of our lives, and these messages are a potential opportunity for you.

Why do I say potential opportunity?

Well, I have said this before and I will say it again: “Information doesn’t mean Transformation.”

How do you put some of my messages into positive action?

When I facilitate my workshops I usually have 3 groups of people in my class.

  1. The vacationers – they think it is awesome to have a few days “off work” because they don’t make the connection that a workshop may actually help them in their personal and professional life.
  2. The learners – these are the people who take every opportunity they can get to learn and to grow.
  3. The prisoners – they have been told to be there and they don’t want to be there at all.

Every time I meet a group of people for the very first time, I start asking the people which one of these 3 options applies to them.

First I have to understand who is in the room. If I have many prisoners and vacationers in my workshop, it helps me to tackle this challenge from the get-go. Sometimes people are disgruntled with their overall life experience and I know that this has absolutely nothing to do with me.

I am there to help them to get out of this mental rut. Before they understand that they learn for their own self-improvement and not for the company, they cannot discover a new reality.

My message to you today….

It doesn’t matter if you are the CEO, a VP, a Manager, a Supervisor, a Team Leader or a Machine Operator, what would it take to start shifting your focus from “I know” and “I understand” to “I want to know” or “I would like to understand”? Learn to be curious about the people around you  and observe the magic unfold.

I guarantee that this kind of attitude will contribute tremendously to your personal and professional growth because you will start learning from the people around you, and it will help to transform your overall outlook on life.

Are you ready to take this chance?
