Manufacturing Training Mental Toughness

Do you have what it takes to get through any difficulty?

Have you ever been mentally so exhausted that you thought you can’t push any further? I have been there.

Somehow I always managed to amount the strength to keep going and that’s when usually some kind of breakthrough happened.

Mental toughness is a term known in psychology that refers to the resilience and strength that people possess to overcome their struggles and succeed.

Would you like to learn how you can become mentally stronger?

From my own experience I know that this is a skill that can be learned just as any other skill. It is wonderful when you get to experience that you can really develop into a stronger self. In most cases this happens in times of adversity.

A big part of my “practice sessions” have happened through running, cycling and swimming. Fear is physical and in order to overcome fear, you must train your body and your mind to become a littler bit stronger each day.

Makes sense, doesn’t it?

Here are my key ingredients to push myself to get further faster:

1. Passion

Passion has always been my fuel in my business and in life in general. It is an emotion that helps you to do pretty amazing things. Why live if you don’t go all out and live life with passion?

2. Grit

Passion combined with perseverance is called grit. One of my beliefs is that every no today can be a yes tomorrow, and every problem can be turned into an amazing opportunity.

3. Positivity

Things can be very difficult at times but then it is important to find that silver lining. A friend of my told me a long time ago, “There is always someone who has it worse than you.” This is such a great thought to keep in mind when you need to refocus.

 

If you need to find strength during difficult times it always helps to have a list of your “secret shifters”. In other words, what has the ability to shift your energy?

  • Exercise
  • Spending time in nature
  • Music (at home or in concert)
  • Positive People
  • Creative Tasks
  • Home Projects
  • Reading a good book
  • Gardening
  • Singing and/or dancing
  • Cuddling with your pet
  • Going for a ride in your car or on your motorcycle
  • Meditation
  • Time with family and friends
  • Funny movies
  • Find a reason to smile or laugh
  • Any kind of hobby

Whatever it is, you can learn to become mentally tough by shifting your energy instead of getting down for too long.
