When you make a mistake, do you see it as failure or as a sign to work harder to get to where you want to be? This is the difference between a fixed and a growth mindset.

Years ago I wanted to qualify for the Boston marathon. In order to qualify, you have to run a marathon (42.195 km) within a specific time. Make a long story short, I missed it by 50 seconds.

Of course I could have said that I am simply not a good enough athlete and leave it like that. Instead I chose to work harder and only 4 months later I qualified with 2 minutes to spare.

Do you get my point?

Push yourself to work harder because only then you will become better.

If you want your team to change, you have to change.

If you want your team to be better, you have to get better.

Doesn’t it already feel better since you know that you can be in control?
